There’s a flicker of it every time I hit publish. Not doubt about the choice. I believe in that completely. It’s doubt about whether it’s actually working.

It shows up on the slow days. A post gets fewer views than usual, or I scroll past someone whose face is the whole thumbnail and their numbers are doing something mine aren’t, and for a second I wonder if I made this harder for myself than it needed to be.

Then I remember staying faceless was never a fallback. It was a choice, made on purpose, for reasons that had nothing to do with what would perform better.

The truth is, I don’t get to see most of what my content actually does. I don’t see the person who reads something at exactly the right moment, or the one who feels a little less alone because a stranger online said the thing they’d been thinking too. Somewhere, someone is finding this useful, even on the days it doesn’t feel like anyone is.

That’s the part I keep having to remind myself of. This was never really about the numbers. It’s about giving myself a corner to be who I actually am and sharing that with whoever needs it, however long it takes them to find it.

It was never about being seen. It was about giving myself a corner to be me, and letting whoever needs it find their way there.
